Hylaform is an instant solutions for facial lines, wrinkles
and contouring. In 2004, the FDA approved Hylaform for use
as an injectable filler for those who seek to disguise the
effects of aging. It is used for the treatment of moderate
to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
Like Restylane and Captique, Hylaform is made from hyaluronic
acid, a naturally occurring substance found in human skin
and throughout the body.
Hylaform is a dermal filler that
is made from a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid which
mimics the effects of natural hyaluronic acid, which is part
of what keeps youthful skin supple and young-looking.
Over
time, sunlight the aging process causes the hyaluronic acid
found naturally in your skin to diminish. With this change,
your skin loses volume, and lines and wrinkles appear. Hylaform
replenishes the hyaluronic acid to add volume which smoothes
wrinkles and folds in the face.
Hylaform will help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles
and folds for about 12 weeks in most patients, and no allergy
testing is required beforehand.
