stitches are used, they will be removed within a week of the surgery.
Most people return to work within a week following this procedure.
Strenuous activities should be avoided at first (especially any
which could result in a blow to the face), but exercise can be resumed
in about two weeks.
If incisions are made inside the mouth, you
may be placed on a liquid diet for several days until there is adequate
healing to allow for chewing and food particles to come in contact
with the stitches. Some patients experience bruising for up to 1-2
weeks, but many experience very little bruising or swelling.
