Ruben B. Abrams,
M.D., F.A.C.S. is a certified diplomate of the
American Board of Plastic Surgery, Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons, member of the American
Society of Plastic Surgeons, and member of
the American
Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
As an artist and musician, Dr. Abrams recognized
the artistic values in cosmetic plastic surgery
very early in his training as a surgeon. He fell
in love with the idea of being able to cosmetically
improve one’s appearance, or to reconstruct
defective parts of the body. Later on when he
became a Board certified plastic surgeon, he coined
the term "The Ultimate Art Form" to
describe his specialty.
Dr. Abrams believes in an artistic approach to
cosmetic plastic surgery and applies aesthetic
principles and the latest technology into his
work. Finally, he places a strong emphasis on
patient safety, as well as direct, frank, and
honest communication with each patient. Dr. Abrams
will not agree to operate on any of his patients
until he is certain that all of their questions
have been answered. While many practices rush
patients through during consultations, Dr. Abrams
prefers to spend as much time as needed with his
patients, listening to them, answering their questions
and providing as perfect a service as possible.
Dr. Abrams CV includes:
Fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery,
LAC Medical Center, USC (1988)
Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship, Hospital
of the Good Samaritan and USC (1986)
Research Fellowship in Microsurgery and Pediatric
Plastic Surgery, USC and Los
Angeles Children's Hospital (1985)
