Gynecomastia is a condition in which the male's
breast tissue enlarges, and is actually quite common, but to varying
degrees. Male breast reduction improves the appearance
of the chest utilizing liposuction to re-size and reshape the tissue.
Most cases of gynecomastia occur during puberty, and the condition
often will improve in several years without intervention. It is
estimated that 65% of 14-year-old boys have gynecomastia.
General Recovery Information: Some soreness and
swelling will occur, but usually begins to go away by the third
or fourth day after surgery. feel somewhat sore for several days
before you resume normal activities. A compression garment is sometimes
used for several days after surgery, depending on the case. Most
patients feel good about going back to a non-physical job after
5-7 days.
